Hi,
I have a USB-485 which I have use on a Windows 7 64-pc with no problem. But when trying to install it onto a Windows 10 pro pc then NI MAX indicates that windows has no driver for the device.
What could be the problem?

scanning for serial port using Labview
My system is Window 7 32-bit
Labview 2011
I have a usb to serial device. After the device is plugged into the computer, window will show a usb-serial device. Without going to the device manager, is it possible to use Labview to scan to see what COM number the device is enumerated as?
I can use VISA find resources to check the COM port. But if i have multiple COMs on the PC, how do i know which one is the one from my device?

Communication between DG535 and WinSpec
Hi,
I am trying to connect DG535 to Winspec.
When doing it, I have a pulsed source of 25o msec and a delay of 750 msec.
If I use repetative method.
What should be the exposure time, Gate width and Gate Delay.

PXIe-8135 GPIB Scan for Instruments disabled
Hi,
I want to connect an electronic load to the PXIe-8135. I bought a Micro D cable and connect the load . When I open the Measuremanet Explorer, I open devices and see the PCI-GPIB. The self-test was successful. But the button "Scan for instruments" is not available. It is grey and has no funktion. Has anybody a solution? The settings from the PCI-GPIB are: GPIB-ID=GPIB0; Primary Adress 0; Secondary none; Timeout 13(10s); System-Controller and Autopolling are enabled; End of write enabled; Cable HS488 0; Parallelpoll 0 (2µs); Bus-Timing 2 (500ns).

run NIvisaic failed on openSUSE13.1, the error occurs : Can't load library /usr/local/lib/liblvrt.so.14.0
Install information:
OS vsersion : openSUSE 13.1
NIVISA : nivisa-15.5.0
NI4822 : NI4882-15.1.1
When I run the command "NIvisaic",the error occurs as following :
Can't load library /usr/local/lib/liblvrt.so.14.0
libXinerama.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Agilent E3663A VI for constant current mode
Does anyone have the application VI for setting up the constant current mode for Agilent E363X Series Power Supply since I have to set the power supply to run in the constant current mode?
I would be most grateful if you could present me the VI's at your earliest convenience.

why don't NI think about the environment why spill a lot of energy to download 8GB if you only need a driver of 10 MB i dont know how many NI users are forced to download 8 GB whil the only to need to update a small driver but its a waste of network traffic energy

Installation abort of NI 488.2 in CentOS
I already have installed NI-VISA on this machine, which is running CentOS 7.
I have downloaded NI 488.2 from here: http://www.ni.com/download/ni-488.2-3.2/4916/en/
and am running the ./INSTALL script as sudo. I receive the following error message (after passing the license agreement etc.):

Now I am using TNT4882 in one-chip mode,when sending the SOFT RESET command(0x22) to the register CMDR, I found that the HALT, STOP bits are not set. Also,the REN bit remained to be set when writing(0x00) to BCR register,I didn't know why , Looking forward to your help,thanks.

Reading number from instrument without the driver.
Hi,
I am using the instument sr830, a lock-in amplifier via LabVIEW. This instrument uses IEEE-488 port, aka GPIB.
Unfortunately, my LabVIEW version is too low to be supported by sr830 driver available here.
So I think I need to figure this out only with the built in vi`s.
All I want to do is just reading off the numbers on the lock-in amplifier screen.
There are two channels for the instrument. I just want to tell Labview to read the number from which channel.
This looks very easy but I have been stuck for more than a week now.
To be honest, I don't really know what I should do.
Any help will be appreciated, thank you.

2 USB Cameras on same bus
Hi.
I have 2 usb cameras which work fine when plugged into seperate USB busses. I want to use multiple cameras with a usb hub and to lower the frame rate. The default frame rate is 30 fps and the cameras work fine independantly at this speed. To try to get 2 devices working I have opened 2 NI-MAX windows. I have changed the video mode to 288x288 YUY2 7.5 fps. This is a substantial reduction. I do the same for the other camera in the other NI-MAX window but I get a timeout error 0xBFF6901B when trying to preview the second camera. Surely this should be able to handle both devices with the lowered speed.
Is this possible or does the bus not allow more than one camera device?

Communication with Omni-300 Grating Monochromator by USB port
Hi everyone,
I'm new here and I'm beginner in labview, so my question will sound wierd to you. I'm trying to do program which will communicate with with Omni-300 Grating Monochromator (from Zolix company) by USB port. I have commands to communication with device. I did simple program for test with command "Hello" which I put below:
So I send command "Hello" to monochromator and the device should return word "OK", but I haven't got anything. Only I get error code: 1073676294. I don't know what is wrong. I've tried to change CR and EOL but it didn't help. Below I put what is written in instruction about command "Hello".
Any suggestion what is wrong?

Tektronix AFG 3102
Hello.
With the help of another user i've implemented this code.
When i first run after rebooting the the tool it appears the error shown in picture 1.
Then, when i try to comunicate it appears the error in picture 2.
The strange thing is if i double click my Standard Wave Form.vi and change values into that vi it works ...
Also i post my code in picture 3.

visa.NS does not see termination character
Due to our remote test controllers running Windows XP, and the instrument being controlled has no Win7 drivers, I am writing x86 code on an XP machine.
I am attempting to control an instument using TCPIP/Socket
Outgoing commands work. But, I am getting a timeout when reading or query.
Telnet works as does NI-MAX
I am writing in VS2005 using visa.NS message based (mbsession)
mbsession.TerminationCharacterEnabled = true;
mbsession.TerminationCharacter = 13;
Have tried both orders...
