I am using both the NI-PICe-8431/16 and a pair of NI-PCIe-8431/8 RS485 cards in different test set ups and have noticed a “Bug”. When running the NI-MAX tool to validate the cards, I occasionally observe that Port 6 fails to validate and becomes unusable. The remedy is to disable the Driver for the card and re-enable it, then the port functions again. It is only Port 6 , all others function and the same anomaly is seen on either an 8 channel or 16 channel card. These cards are installed in multiple SuperMicro PCs with an X11-DPXT motherboard running Win10. Regular users do not have permissions to access the Device manager on these machines to remedy the problem and it is causing some downtime for test waiting for IT support. Is there a possible F/W update that would eliminate this issue?
