Apologies if this is posted in the wrong location.
Our computers run on a Windows XP operating system due to using Melles Griot Nanopositioning software (MG17, MelHost V5.41). This requires a NI-CAN system to interface between their hardware and software on the computer, of which I am looking at the USB-8502 because it is not a mature product and so can be shipped relatively quickly. However, I can't find information going as far back as Windows XP to show that it would be compatible. I believe I can use up to version 14 of NI-XNET from this table. LabVIEW is not installed on this computer. Our working test station has an NI-CAN card, but its model is unknown as we would having to shut down the hardware and take apart the computer, risking not being able to get it fully working again.
Does anyone know whether the USB-8502 is compatible with Windows XP or whether I need to source a mature NI-CAN Interface Device?
