Aide Labview Visa programme / Help Serial communication using Visa Labview

Bonjour,

 

voila je suis en projet pour mon école et j'ai des soucis pour lire une donnée d'un port USB, dans un premier temps j'essaye d'écrire une trame et de la lire cependant mon programme ne fonctionne pas et malgres les recherches sur le web je trouve aucun resultat, si vous pouvez m'aider, j'arrive bien à écrire dans le buffer écriture cependant celui n'est pas lu dans le buffer lecture.

Le but de mon projet étant de creer une interface Labview avec  des modules Xbee et donc lire des données ( temperature,etc...) qui sont émis par les modules Xbee,

4-Byte IEEE floating number conversion

Hello guys :

 

I've faced a probelm on converting the 4-byte IEEE binaries into floating numbers.

 

I've got the 4-byte binary data from spectrum analyzer SR780 capture buffer.

The captured data is 100mV 10Hz sine signal. The whole capture length is about 5 seconds.

 

While I've faced a probelm while I convert the 4-byte IEEE floating number into floating numbers.

The main conversion process is learned from the block diagram of another sub VI "Query display data"

(this is one of  the SR780 GPIB driver sub VI) through GPIB interface.

Actually I can already see the periodic behavior of the obtained binary data. The period is 10Hz, too. However I cannot get correct waveform.

I just cannot figure out why I follow the same process while I get the wrong result?

 

The attachments are the binary data files, the string interpretation of them and my VI try to figure it out.

 

I'll appreciate If anyone give any suggestion.

Hi all. I have question about NI foundation fieldbus USB Interface(P/N : USB-8486). as you can see my article's subject, I have already using windows8 OS & NI Configurator 15.0. but, this system is very low speed connection between laptop and foundation fieldbus equipment such as fisher DVC positioner model. I can't find solution of this problem. so, please let me know this solution. thanks.

I find driver for PW8-3AQP(Texio DC Power Supply) to use on Lab view.
Would you give me advice which driver can I use to control PW8-3AQP?
I will use GPIB or USB for interface.
But I can find 3 different drivers when I search Instrument driver by using Driver finder of lab view.
So I do not understand which driver I can use to control PW8-3AQP.

serial data myrio

Hi everyone,

 

I've got a touchscreen connected to teh myRIO and I'm trying to read serial data form the touchscreen. The data I need is 10 bytes long and has a distinct first and second byte. When I'm reading the data it does not always come in starting at the start bit. It might come in starting in the middle of the string of 10 bytes. Can anyone please explain to me why this is happening?

how to transmit data from labview to arduino through HC06

I want to turn on and off a LED(pin 13) on the arduino uno board using bluetooth(Sending the data from my computer bluetooth to the HC06 Bluetooth Module plug-in the arduino uno).

1-I paired both deivce and added the hc 06 to my devices on the laptop.

2-i made sure that the hc06 TX and RX are connected well.

3-i uploaded the schematics provided by the labview-arduino interface add-on provided by NI.

 

But it didn't work. The data won't get in the while loop and the laptop keep on showing me a pop-up window to add the device.Then when i press it, it show THAT DIDN'T WORK.

Im using WIN10 64 bit (toshiba). with labview 2013 64 bit.

Program Interrupted by Various Errors

Hello,

 

I am running a VI that controls and monitors the flow rate and pressure of gas using 2 Bronkhorst Flow Meters and Pressure gauges, which all connect to a single USB port. The VI uses predefined Bronkhorst sub-VI's and works in the expected manner. However, the program is very frequently interrupted by 1 of 4 error messages:

 

Error -1073807298 (Possible reason: VISA: Could not perform operation because of I/O error)

Error -1073807246 (Possible reason: VISA: The resource is valid, but VISA cannot currently access it)

Error -1073807339 (Possible reason: VISA: Timeout expired before operation completed)

Error -1073807343 (Possible reason: VISA: Insufficient location information or the device or resource is not present in the system)

 

All of these errors appear under similar circumstances. As noted before, the program runs fine, except for frequent pauses for error messages, and continues to run fine after pressing continue on the error message box. I have searched for solutions for each of these 4 errors individually, and none seemed to hint at the problem with my system. One solution suggested that the wrong VISA resource was chosen, which is surely not the case. Another solution suggested that another application (e.g. HyperTerminal) was competing for the same port as my devices, but the errors persist after all applications except LabView after closed. Any help is greatly appreciated. I've attached the VI for reference. Also, I am running Labview Version 10.0.1 (32-bit).

HP 3652A interface with MATLAB

Hi,

 

I am trying to connect to an HP 3562A Dynamic Signal Analyzer (DSA) using MATLAB, with an NI GPIB-USB-HS cable. I have a VISA connection established with the DSA and am trying to send it simple commands such as "FRS?", but any command I send to it (no matter the complexity), I get a timeout. This is a pretty old DSA and the programming manual is written in BASIC. I would be grateful if anyone could guide me on what I could potentially do. Is there a compatible syntax or a work around, if any exist?

VISA reading drastically slowing down at 20Hz (Labview + Arduino + Xbee project)

Hi,

I am quite new to Labview and Arduino, so excuse me if I use incorrect terms. I am having some troubles with the following project, I hope you guys can give me some guidance!
I have 16 sensors connected to 16 analog pins on an Arduino mega board. This board has a wireless shield mounted on it, with an Xbee module. I have another Xbee module which communicates with it and is mounted on a USB dongle that plugs into a PC, with Labview 2015.

The A/D output from the Arduino analog pins is read and sent every 50ms to the Xbee module connected to the PC. So every 50ms (that is, a sampling frequency of 20Hz), a new line of comma separated analog readings is sent, using AnalogRead and Serialprint in Arduino. This data is fed to a Labview code with a producer-consumer architecture. This code configures a VISA serial port, reads the data, converts it to a voltage value and writes the data to a text file (see block_diagram.jpg).

The problem is that at a sampling frequency of 20Hz (with the configuration of the attached jpg) when reaching 400 processing iterations the code drastically slows down and values are not parsed correctly. It behaves as if the queue was overflowed (but queue elements indicators show 0), or memory or buffers were full. This seems quite suprising to me since the sampling frequency is so slow. I tried a couple of configurations setting buffer size, flushing the buffer, using waiting times but nothing seemed to work. Is it because the processor loop takes too much time to iterate? I tried disabling the data parsing, the voltage conversion and the text file generation, and just keep the dequeueing reading, and still got the same behaviour.

What may be causing this? Any suggestions to modify the block diagram are very welcome! Is there a more efficient way to do this than with VISA, or queues...?

I am using Labview 2015 on Windows 7.

weight scales offset

Hello,
 
We recently bought 2 weight scales from Adam equipment, model number "HCB 602H". We pluged  them to a computer using RS 232 communication port.
 
We want to measure continuously a fluid flow into a container with a sampling frequency of 30 seconds. We developed a Labview program to acquire the data (under Labview 2010). We used the examples provided with the drivers (NI VISA 4.6) called Adam Equipment Highland Series Acquire Measurement.vi.
 
The program works well. We need to measure the fluid flow during several weeks.
 
After few days of measurement, we  observed an offset in the weight... After several tries, we realized this offset comes after about a day of measurement and we think it might be the temperature changes that affects the weight scales measurement. We do not know how to solve this problem.
 
Could you help us? Do you have any suggestion?

Connect servercontroller SC-610 from Harmonic Drive via serial bus as GPIB

Hello I upgraded a computer system from Windows XP to Windows 7 and from LabVIEW 7.1 to LabVIEW 2014. With my VI I'm comunicating with a Harmonic Drive SC-610 servo controller (RS232 connection on my serial port COM3) which controlls a Harmonic drive motion drive. Also there is a Faulhaber Motion drive connected on another serial port (COM4).

 

In the old system both ports where usable as GPIB but not so in my new system. There I get the error message Error connecting with the GPIB device or driver when I want to start my VI. NI VISA and 488.2 are installed. Also MintMT, MintWorkBench and Faulhaber Motion Drive are installed.

 

Is there anything I need to consider when moving from LabVIEW 7.1 to LabVIEW 2014 to fix this problem? How can I install the GPIB?

USB-485/4 Ports Failed

In NI-Serial Troubleshooter the first two ports are shown as failed. The second two pass.

In Device manager the first two show error This device cannot start. (Code 10).

 

I installed niserial1500f1 on windows 7. Unit is connected directly to computer.

 

I didn't see anything relavent in windows system error log. Rebooting doesn't change behavior.

Third party software Twincat3 of Beckhoff how to receive 9144 through EtherCAT FPGA bitfile after processing the data?

Hello, I am now want to use 9144 EtherCAT and the above board, 9215 and 9402, to gather information, now I am writing the FPGA program in 9402 and 9215 to 9402, set up the mode is to electricity to run mode.Then is put 9144 connected to the beckhoff EtherCAT, according to official website is 9144 above XML files for the board of 9215 and 9402 by NI website provides XML file generator to generate.Then I'm putting their XML files on the official software Twincat3 beckhoff installation directory.This time can be found in the twincat3 software 2 9144 and 9215940, and so on.But now I want to use 9144 FPGA pattern to the data through the EtherCAT sent to Twincat3 after processing, the process is excuse me how operation, how to use 9144 FPGA mode bitfile file??

NI WSN 9197

Good evening, I have a sensor network device wireless NI WSN-9791 and I'm struggling to it to be detected by the PC in the MAX program.

Tou following in the footsteps of a document available on your site to configure the device and at the very beginning when asked to expand Remote Systems does not detect the WSN-9791 and when I try to manually detect put the default host name of the device and prompt an error that says "Unable to initialize connection to remote target (s)" as demostro in the Annex.

I wonder how surpass this error and how I can for the PC to detect the device automatically.

labview interface with peaksimple

My project is about design a feed back control system. the PFD is about: Air -> MassFlowController 1 -> toluene --> MFC2--> biofiltration system --> gas chromatography. 

MFC from Allicat's company could be connect with labview. The gas chromatograph (SRI GC8610) connected with computer via Peaksimple. Currently i want to find the way to interface GC/peaksimple with labview.

Anyone have idea or experience how to figure out this problems?
