I Have a kiethley SMU-2410C instrument. Labview is acting as software to carry the Current Vs Voltage studies. The program is giving error 6 : Generic I/O error, when we run the program. Please go through the program and block diagram and where it is showing error,Please help me for the same. I dont have the knowledge about Labview programming, so its becoming tough to rectify it.

I am trying to use an old camera (VDS Vosskühler CCD-4000) with an old framegrabber (NI PCI 1422).
Installing Vision Acquisition Software version 18.0 ( https://www.ni.com/en-us/support/downloads/drivers/download.vision-acquisition-software.html#306475 ), I managed to use the camera with NI MAX. For this, I had to first load the camera file for this camera using the Camera File Generator Software (NI), and then I could use NI MAX.
NI MAX is limited to grab pictures. What software should I use to benefit from all the features of my camera ?

I just bought a device that I'd want to contol using VISA under linux but I cannot find any available version for my Operating System (Debian 8.3 - 64 bit).
Is there any (even unsupported) version of the NI-VISA package available on Linux ?

I was chasing down a BSoD, and ran across this error while running the Win10 Driver Verifier. The Stop Code is DRIVER VERIFIER DETECTED VIOLATION.
Same behavior after installing VISA 17.5, 19.0 and 19.5.
Uninstall NI-VISA and of course ausbtmc.sys is gone. No other errors were reported after re-running the verifier.
I am not certain that it is the cause of the BSoD, but is running the driver verifier tool on ausbtmc.sys expected to fail?
Platform is Win10Ent, 1903.
I know it's been a long time since anybody inquired about this, but a few months ago I rewrote the Neslab drivers that were available from the Instrument Driver Network for 10+ years, and in my experience really never worked right. I tested them with 3 different models that I have access to, and they now work fine. There were mistakes in the checksum calculation and some numeric parsing for the I and D parameters of the PID settings. Also the comm port selections didn't make sense, these are now VISA. They work for RS232, and RS485 for point to point comms with single chillers. A multidrop would require some work on traffic control.
I submitted then to IDN in LLB format for both LV 2008 and LV 2016. After a long delay they reposted them, having made them project style and combined them with some of the old stuff, in LV 2018, which I don't happen to have running.
Not sure whether the ones posted on IDN still work, since I'm pretty sure they can't test them on a chiller, and frankly I wouldn't bother, since I already spent enough time on this. The idea that they would modify code they are in no position to test is pretty discouraging.

Good Morning.
I am developing a system where I would like, on start up, to initialise and open sessions to all the instrumentation. I would like to store the Visa Session handles so I can access the instrumentation without having to open and close sessions. I have a number of different applications that can be ran so I would like them to access a common 'table' of sessions. The sessions are closed on shut down.
So, how can I access the opened sessions, using CVI? I've seen LV Vi performing something similar but can't find CVI equivalent, and nothing in the VISA API suggests how to do it.

the NGA instrument based on Voltage reading but what about the Temperature thermocouple is it able to detect the temperature directly from the thermocouple

Hi,
I'm trying to get my head around NI Session Manager. To start, I looked at the .ini file. The comments suggest that this file is automatically generated by session manager. I'm a bit lost as to where to start.
Is anyone using NISessionManager who can point me in the right direction, the help file is quite vauge...

Hi all - I'm new to NI and GPIB to USB adapters. I have the GPIB-USB-US from NI and an old HP8566 spectrum analyzer. I also have Measurement and automation explorer installed on my PC, and I'm trying to figure out how to do a few things:
1. configure the SA settings from the PC: start/stop freq, res BW, ref level, etc.
2. Once a sweep is completed, is it possible to get the data from the 8566 to my PC?
I'm a relatively experienced HW guy, but an absolute newb at running NI software and talking to my instruments through them.
Are there some basic tutorials I can read through somewhere?

Im kinda new to the SPI. Currently I having an NI-8451 to be use to control an EVKIT. But notice that NI-MAX don't have an app use for SPI to "Listen only" as compare to normal CAN. I try out on the example in the Labview but it's doesn't receive any data from the MiniQusb. Need some guide or idea to help me.

I am trying to search for an instrument driver for the NI9237 module, which is connected to my PC (Windows 10) where LabVIEW 2015 is installed through USB 2.0 (provided by NI while purchasing) via cDAQ 9171. I have used the following steps to search the instrument driver: LabVIEW=>Tools=>Instrumentation=>Find instrument driver. But under the tree " connected instrument", it shows " no connected instrument"
However, I can check the device (NI cDAQ-9171) connected while I run MAX.
How do I solve it?
I am currently trying to program a PCB.
This works by sending serial commands to the board at 115200 baud rate.
Currently, the VI works most of the time but after a couple hundred loops, the board will reset itself resulting in the "read" result not matching the "desired" result and therefore not exiting the loop (until an error occurs).
I figure that I'm missing a small thing in the code that is causing this to happen. I know that the buffer is not overflowing as I have previously had an indicator showing the buffer amount.
Does anyone have any idea what is going wrong? I've captured trace data and there is nothing within that which is out of the ordinary before the board is reset.

I am trying to use the latest Agilent 33210a instrument driver (2018) on labview 2019 to write SCPI commands through the GPIB port to a the waveform generator in order to output a triangle wave. I think that there is something wrong with my VISA resource name. I've tried both VISA resource names listed in the context help window and in the NI MAX window in this picture but neither has worked (both return this error). Please help me out, I've been spinning my wheels on this for days 😞

I am trying to read a battery voltage (3.39 V) using 10bit-ADC (MCP3002 with SPI) by MyRIO 1900. I think I have connected everything correctly (plz see the attached). However, the output value is constant on 1023 which is equal to 2^10 (in other words, all the bits of ADC have one value (1111111111)), which is the completely wrong value. Also, the result (1023) will not change even if all the wires between ADC and MyRIO are disconnected. MyRIO .vi file and other pictograms are attached.
Please, is there anybody can tell me where is my mistake?

I currently use LabVIEW 2016 to connect to an FPGA/PXI chassis. In NI-MAX it is listed under "remote systems." I have one vi which programs the FPGA, and then a host program which calls that using an "Open FPGA VI Reference." I would like to have that host program also control a second instrument (for testing purposes, I am using a tektronix AFG3022 function generator with its NI drivers). In NI-MAX, this test instrument is under "My System -> Network Devices." I first modified one of the example vi that came with the tektronix driver and verified that I could control just the tektronix with LabVIEW. When I tried to incorporate this code into my larger host program, however, I could not connect to the tektronix anymore [Error-1073807343, VISA Open in Tektronix AFG 3000 Series.lvlib:Initialize.vi->TESTethernet_Host_KappaG2.vi]. In fact, when I went to the drop-down menu I had previously used to select the Tektronix VISA resource name, it was no longer an option (the options now include PXI resource names). Any idea why this might be happening?
