I am trying to install the GPIB Analyzer so that I can debug a 488.2 interface. However, after selecting the file path to install to and hitting continue, I get the error:
"Could not open the file named 'C:\Users....\CVIRT31A.EX"
The file is located in the same folder as the rest of the install. What's the deal?

I am using LAN interface to control my PXA 9030A analyzer and i am unable to find the option to recall a state of the analyzer.Could anybody help me in this context?

I am using a DATAQ DI-145 data acquisition device to obtain values that will correspond to voltage amplitude. I have a working code for such using ActiveX controls, however it is a bit slow and dependent on externally provided software, so I am experimenting with serial communication. I read the (attached) device's protocol, and I installed visa drivers for the instrument to communicate in LV. Reading around, I created this code (attached sniplet), however neither the read nor write options seem to properly work. There is a series of basic commands in the protocol, out of which I also get no response (and occasionally the VISA timeout error). The same happens when I try the VISA test interface in MAX (for some reason i also get more ports than the instruments i have in).
Specifically, I quote from the protocol: '' Responses to this set of commands include echoing the command, followed by a space (0x20),
followed by the response, and ending with a carriage return (0x0d). For example, the command "info 1" generates the following response ''info 1 1450(0x0D)'' . Does this mean I need a carriage return termination character to be enabled on read/write? I fiddled with both timeout (2s,10s) and termination character enable/disable in test panel and not much seems to change when trying to send info\s0 sommands etc.
I'm very new to serial communication so I might be missing something obvious (for example, why are transmit and receive buffers on 0? what does it mean?) or doing something wrong. Would appreciate some guidance.
Finally, since I am trying to avoid using the visa property bytes at port, does me setting a bytes to be read control make me miss any of the continuous stream? And is the empty string and feedback node sufficient to distinguish between different measurements?

I am using visa to receive some data from a microcontroller (AVR) , but between send a string by AVR and receive it by Labview have a very big delay. (sending of data by AVR === no delay & receiving by Labview ==== very big delay) . what is the problem???

I have searched the board and not found an exact example of what I am experiencing. The application I am using has run successfully for years and has had no problems. All of the sudden, this error pops up. The com port drivers are all up to date, and as far as I know there have been no updates or changes to the machine that it is running on. I have attached the VI for good measure, any suggestions as to where I should look next?
NI MAX does not recognize it, I tried creating New VISA TCP/IP Resource but still nothing. I saw that a lot of people had problems with this controller, but haven`t yet found solution that works for me. Anyone know how to make it visible/recognisable by LabView?

How do these cards act differently on the GPIB bus? I am using the Prologix concept of GPIB to serial conversion and have it working perfectly until I attempt to change the address or use any sort of the ++command set type. I have my set up working fine with the NI PCI-GPIB adapter but get the error when attempting ibwrt:

I have a labview program configured with VISA interface to receive serial UART communication with TIVA microcontroller. The program was working fine, until suddenly when am opening it I get this error message(below) and asks me to locate the missing file on my computer?!!
I also tried to use a previous backup version to avoid maybe unknown changes that might have caused such problem, but am getting the same error!
Any suggestions?

this is my first post and to be honest I didnt take a lot of time to read through community rules and co. Please don't be to hard on me 
I am having the following problem. I have a Thorlabs CCS200 spectrometer that I would like to combine with a smaller architecture than e.g. a notebook + a controller for e.g. switching LED's on and off. The problem is, that according to an E-Mail by Thorlabs the spectrometer has problems in communicating with the Raspberry Pi. It seems that 'viUsbControlIn' und 'viUsbControlOut' doesn't work.
I was thinking about solving the problem instead with a LattePanda. But I found on the internet that its not that simple do directly communicate with LattePandas integrated Arduino. Instead you can only acess them through serial communication.
Does anyone has an idea how to solve my problem of having a small workstation with the CCS200 spectrometer + LabView program + controlling e.g. LED's. Or can anyone comment if his experiences with LattePanda are similar to the afromentioned?

I have to control two equipment using a IEEE488 bus and GPIB-USB-HS conector. One is a Power supply Delta SM 15-400 and the other is Keithely 181 nanovoltimeter. I'm using NI LabVIEW 17 (64bit) and the NI-488.2 17.0.0 version for the GPIB communication. Using "Measurement & Automation Explorer" I can perfectly control the Power Supply but for some reason I can't communicate with the nanovoltimeter using he same tool. Strange is that the "Measurement & Automation Explorer" recognizes the equipment (see figure "MAE_overview.png") but when I try to query or send a commands an error occurs (see figure "Query fail"). More puzzling is that testing in another computer with LabIVEW 11 and 3.0 version NI-488.2 using the same query and commands the communication with the nanovoltimeter works fine. I've already checked all (that I know) the communications default settings from the 17 version and the 3 version to match them but still no success. I also tried a third computer with LabVIEW 13 plugging in every USB port possible and the same problem occurs.
Does anyone have a clue of what is happening ? Why it only works in the 3.0 version NI-488.2 ?

we have Tektronix RSA3408A it is real-time spectrum analyzer, and NI offers driver for GPIB Controls IEEE 488 and we want to make an automatic acquisition program using LabVIEW and this setup will work remotely over Ethernet-based TCP/IP network. Does this available NI driver work over Ethernet-based TCP/IP network? Do we need to order GPIB Ethernet-to-GPIB controller or Ethernet is enough to implement this LabVIEW program ?

i am using the generic functions of the iviScope.
Now i need to change the default timeout value.
For this i wanted to use the function IviScope_SetAttributeViInt32 with the Attribute VI_ATTR_TMO_VALUE.
But when executing the function returns "Attribute not recogniced".
So how can i change the timeout if not with this attribute?
I am using the "niScope" driver for the driver-session.

I am writing code as the device/instrument as another system is the CIC. It is polling iblines to obtain the status, and my gpib device is reporting that NRFD is active. I cannot find a way to control these lines to be able to set the state of the control lines. I don't understand why GPIB is setting this line high when I first find the gpib adapter and setup device settings. Is there a function that will clear the control lines, when not CIC? ibclr and other functions error as my system is not the CIC.
