Is there a way to configure the GPIB-USB-HS interface as a virtual ISA/PCI card in NiMAX?
NiMAX can recognize my instrument (Varian 220FS) and can communicate with it, but the instrument software is old and doesn't recognize the instrument. It used to have an ISA card GPIB interface, but I am having difficulty obtaining a PC with an ISA slot so I resorted to a USB interface instead but the software doesn't recognize it.
I have an update software but with limited functionality, tested using this and it does recognize it. So, I am guessing that the old software only recognize ISA/PCI interfaces.
Hoping there is a way to configure the GPIB-USB-HS as a virtual ISA/PCI interface.
