I have a DAQ970A that I am running on ubuntu 18.04 with kernel version 4.18.0-15-generic, although I've tried several other kernel versions, with the ni-visa driver that comes with the NILinux2021Q4DeviceDrivers package. when I try to use the list devices method I only see it as a RAW interface and not as a Visa INSTR interface.
what I've tried so far is removing the Linux usbtmc driver because I read that it could be acquiring the device before ni-visa can get it, I tried installing the Agilent driver along with ni-visa just out of curiosity but that didn't solve the problem and actually couldn't see the INSTR resource either. i also tried using pyvisa-py which works but I need this to work in c++ because it's being put into an existing project. it did work in pyvisa-py though so i know the DAQ is functional, and i could do read and writes to it as a usbtmc device before i unloaded the Linux usbtmc driver
