Hi, I am editing the delta mode VI that labview provides as an example to run delta mode between 2400 (bipolar current source) and the 2182A nanovoltmeter according to my experiment. I basically want to initialize both instruments once, start a timer, and then configure both instruments to run trigger delta mode measurements in a loop. So that the code takes measurements and writes them to a file in a loop (this is the part in frame sequence 2 that will eventually go into a for() loop once this works).
Before incorporating any loop in my code I want to check if the code works without the loop. This is the VI that I have attached to this post. Since I have changed the sequence of delta mode config commands from the example delta mode VI, I am having issues reading proper measurements out.
Apart from moving some of the delta mode configuration commands, otherwise, the commands and code is the same as the delta mode VI that labview provides. However, I am doing something wrong in this sequence which is throwing me the -410 Error ('query interupted'), and the output data I get from 2182 buffer is consistently 0.000.
It seemed from the -410 error that the 2182 is not getting enough time to read the measurement so I increased the timeout time of both instruments but that does not help. I am not sure what is going on and have placed error readouts from place to place in the code to troubleshoot what is going on, if anyone here has any thoughts/comments, please do let me know! I am new with labview and appreciate any pointers at all.
PS: I have GPIB connection from comp to instrument, and a trigger link cable + gpib-gpib cable bw the two instruments. I am using a windows PC and labview 2020. The example delta mode VI for 2400-2182A runs absolutely fine in my set up.
